GTS-450 Opinions? - Page 4

i never understood asking people for advice instead of just trying for yourself... especially when most of the answers are incorrect im running ..
amd phenom ii x4 955 black edition quad core @ 3.2ghz (stock)
6gb kingston hyperx blu 1600mhz RAM
Geforce GTS 450 1gb 783mhz core (stock) overclocked to 883mhz with msi afterburner
windows 7 ultimate x64
as for the gts 450 , i ran all the games mention in this thread at maxed out settings including highest anti-aliasing 16X, as for crysis i run that maxed out 16x also , and have the crysis 2 beta also run that at harcore (max) highest possible , if anything my fps are too high ***** , so yes gts 450 will run crysis maxed also crysis 2 .

by the way i forgot to mention in my last post , i seen the first post that started this thread and his build was 700$ something =)) wow with 800mhz ram ?? LOL sorry to say that is WAYY to expensive my previous build i just posted was 300.09$ + 39.99$ for the atx case lol, not to brag , but shows you how much cheaper if you can assemble yourself.

I didn't see a resolution maybe he's running it at like 800x600.

450 GTS are strong mid range cards... in SLi they scale very well 80-90 sometimes as much as 95%... The benches are a little volatile depending on what your playing... pioneerisloud is right when he calls bull**** on the performance... but as eagle said, no resolution posted... and thats the kicker... the 450 GTS in single is not a reasonable 1080p performer, on a more mild resolution, it is very strong. Most folks that run em (that Ive seen on OCN) run them in SLi, or fold with em, with good results... A gtx 460/465 768mb is a better performer per unit peso/yen/buck.

ok sorry didnt post my resolutions , and no im not running 800x600 ***** , ok im running 1600x900 720p just fine with the gts 450 only reason im not at 1080 is because of my monitor which is the 20' w20611tq LG which is its max resolution ,so if i get a new monitor the gts 450 runs 2048x1536 res , like i said i run crysis 2 maxxed out hardcore 1600x900 which is a very nice resolution its higher than xbox 360 to give you an example and also xbox 360 runs 30-60fps with only a few games actually hitting the 60fps mark , im hitting them very easy ,also it depends on your cpu and memory if you have weaker video card a amd phenom x4 955 black edition 3.2ghz quad will pick up the rest of the slack no lagg whatsoever lol , why would i need to lie ? , if you knew about cpu's you would know that cpu can pick up gpu's performance with my system i got a 8.0 index rating on my windows gaming performance , if you need i can post some screenshots , then you can apologize for calling me a liar ? and look bad ? LOL

Go show some proof, also 1600x900 isn't 720p nor is it high res, why get mad at me guess what your resolution is, I'd also call 1600x900 medium res, go run it at 1080p and the card won't do the game well.
Edit: Somethings I missed, WEI means jack all also WEI has a max of 7.9 so you can't get an 8... and just because a video card supports up to X res doesn't mean it can do it in game.

i guess if you want to call 1600x900 medium resolution, then what do you call 720p .. low ? ***** because 900 is better than 720p i guess if 1600x900 is medium then they better stop charging so much for 720p lol

With my GTX460 OC 768MB 1680x1050 x16 on MAINSTREAM with about 30-40FPS, with gamer 17-30 FPS. so it works but looks like crap. I will just stick with Enthusiast settings and no AA/AF, looks better IMO.

If you like I can use FRAPS to make a "movie" of it.(after work.)

So if the GTX450 is below, the card I am using the get the GTX460(1GB). There very cheap right now, and it makes Crysis warhead look very nice.
