30" choices: $1230 HP ZR30W vs. $1380 Dell 3011 ??

Which is the better screen? Is the dell worth the extra $150?

usage: a bit of everything: photoshop/design/photography/gaming.

Thanks in advance!
rep for good advice.

i dont think you can go necessarily wrong either way, but i will say dell has a much stronger reputation and following it seems on these forums for making a smashing good product, as well as an awesome 3 year warranty. i picked up 3 of the dell's smaller cousins the 2311s and from my experience with them so far it is a fantastic decision you wont regret!

Don't know if I have any good advice because they both have very similar stats.

You'll have to decide on factors like their customer service and reliability.

Dell

HP

Seems the DELL has better dynamic contrast ratio.

Dell monitor is at 100,000:1 MAX and the HP has it at 3000:1
Dell also has built in 7 in 1 media reader and a few usb ports.

Let us know what you end up choosing!

You know... the U3011 is on sale for less than the HP.
