That's right, make sure the TIM is spread out evenly so that it covers the scratch.

Went ahead and installed it on the new board. Temps are fine. Stock fan is suddenly loud as hell though. When I had it on the board I ended up having to RMA, it wasn't anywhere close to this loud, so I'm not sure what I did to cause that.

Oh well, more of an excuse to get the aftermarket cooler I want anyway tongue.gif
