HD5850 Crossfire problems

Thread Starter
Hello!

I recently bought a second XFX 5850, same model of my first one. I installed it in XP and Win7. When I activated the Crossfire, XP showed the second video card as disabled. I read in other forums this is a common bug in XP, but no problem should be found. However when I tried the Force Unleashed and Force Unleashed II, I have some lags and error in the textures. Then, when I deactivated the Crossfire, the game plays as usual.

Any Idea? I thought at first microstuttering was occurring, but the clocks are the same for both.

The card isn't disabled, it's a powersave feature. It will ramp up under 3D. As for the game, what driver version are you running?

Thanks for your replies.

tsm106, the driver is:

- Driver Packaging Version8.78-100910a-106911C-ATI
- Catalystâ„¢ Version10.10

Today, I'm planning to update it to the lastest, what do you think?

azinai, I checked for info to disable ULPS, but I found a lot of bugs reported. Do you have any information to do it properly?
