Thanks for the help guys. I tried to overclock the CPU once(newb here), but I would not allow me 2. I guess it was because the motherboard? Buy a new one? It's a 3 year old HP

OEM motherboards don't tend to like overclocking. My friend has a Dell XPS with a Q6600, he has to go through alot to get that to overclock.

Yeah you may as well. I had a Q6600 folding at 3.4 and it was good for about 6000PPD on some work units.

I would say buy a new motherboard if you plan on running the smp client and a gpu client, together with a decent overclock. But if you are ONLY doing the gpu client I wouldnt worry about it and just run it as it is, especially if the psu you have isnt up to snuff to handle the 24/7 load of both clients running full steam.
