I overclocked my Pentium 4 with no cooler to 80 GhZ 30 days Prime stable at stock Vcore. Max temp is about 5 divided by 0.

I can get to 10GHz. But I need 1.21 Jiggawatts and a DeLorean that can hit 88 Miles an hour.

Here is another impressive feat:
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...0&postcount=87

That 2600k does a 58x multi, but won't do exactly 5.8GHz because the BCLK is stuck at 99.7.

I've seen 980x's go up to 7 under dice

That doesn't mean anything, because with the previous generation of processors you had the freedom of the BCLK and multi (if you had a EE CPU) so now with Sandy Bridge you are stuck to 100 + 10% at max on the base clock and 57 on the multiplier. So Sandy Bridge won't be clocking over 6270.

If the 980x was limited to 100MHz base clock as well, it wouldn't clock that high either...
SB also has a cold bug, but the impressive part is people can get great clocks without the exotic cooling.

Sure some of the older chips can hit higher clocks, but none of them run 5GHz + 24/7.

Well now this is strange... this guy just posted that he got x59 multi:
http://hwbot.org/forum/showpost.php?...7&postcount=11

So what ever happened to the max multiplier being x57?
