Pondering a GTX580 purchase down the road, so been doing some research on graphics cards on each of these brands and a lot of negative returns seem to come up with evga products. This one is pretty bad:

I know this is a case by case basis. I've had good success with Asus so maybe I should just stick with what I know is best?

asus has a 3 year warranty EVGA has lifetime do the math

Not all EVGA cards come with that lifetime warranty some come with only a 2 yr!!!.. and honestly most people here on OCN change there hardware before the 3 yr warranty would even expire. So that has nothing to do with the quality of a card!!!

@OP EVGA is a good company the problem that many people forget when they are researching different companies is the fact that normally you will only find people who are complaining about a company!! Not very often do you find posts of people who have had excellent service its mainly the ones that have had crappy service. SO ULTIMATELY its up to you on which brand you go with. The best experience is PERSONAL experience!!

ASUS warranty is easy if you sell it off too. They track w/ serial number, and thus you wouldnt have to help out a future owner unlike if you had an EVGA card, where you would have to RMA for them or something. Who keeps a high-end card for more than a year or 2 anyway? :|

I've never had a problem with EVGA nor have I ever heard one of my friends complain about one of their products. Hell two of them have RMA's 2xx series cards and received 4xx in return now. Can't say that was a bad deal. Plus remember the rule of numbers/satisfaction. Nobody goes on youtube to rant about how awesome their new hardware is or how great customer service was.

Unless you have years and years of research about how terrible one company is with their RMA service/products over the next, you really can' say one is greater. I'm certain both (if not all) companies have problems with RMAs from time to time.
