How did I do? My new computer.

Should have it by Monday.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Total Cost: $1197.12

A little pricey, but my monitor is a 10 year old 17 inch LCD. Using 9800 GT for now, so I could splurge in other areas without going over 1200.00. Would've rather got my game on steam, but I could sneak it into my card here without wife noticing.

The reviews have been stellar for this board. I know its not a Asus or Gigabyte board.

I was really torn between this board and the Biostar TP67XE, but this one had more to offer. The asus boards for the same price had no SLI. Not planning on using SLI atm, but I would hate to restrict myself in the future if I decide to go that route.

Why are you asking now after you already bought it ? So we can point out all the possible wrongs of your new system and you can go beat yourself up about it ? If you wanted advice, maybe you should have asked before you bought it ?
One think you should have done differently, instead of 4x2 GB DDR3-10666 you should have gotten 2x2 GB DDR3-12800 atleast, or even DDR3-16000 RAM. And since youre getting a full HD (I hope) monitor, why not get a new GPU right away and get a new mouse, keyboard, sound card etc. later ?

Forgive me I was meaning the Gigabyte UD3 board, not asus. I picked the Asrock due to the incredible reviews from newegg, Toms Hardware, and other sites.

As for the p67 chipset error. Worse comes to worse. I RMA my motherboard when the new ones come out. I can use the 6gbs sata for now.

I think its not wise to buy a MOB with chipset error. cant you wait untill mid of march and then buy it?

Bastyn99 - I thought I explained my reasoning in my original post. I needed a mouse and keyboard now. Sure I could have spent 15 dollars on a crappy combo set, and skipped the sound card; but I don't get to spend money on a system very often. I needed to get everything I could for under 1200.

To me the 4800 GT will handle everything I need at this point. In a year, sure I may need a new video card, but I can buy one thats better and cheaper than what I would pay for it now.

I was just wanting your opinions. I'm not beating myself up, was just curious. I am sorry that my post doesn't fulfill your requirements.

Zorg - Ya my home computer is so outdated. I didn't want to wait 2 months. A little impulsive I agree, but the new motherboard will be just an RMA away when it does come out.
