OK the bit!! doesn't want to let me go!!!

New PC is built, but having issues.

After resetting CMOS I get:

CMOS Setting Wrong
Press F2 or DEL to run Setup
Press F1 to load default values and coninue

There is more crap above (RAM, HDD, DVD,...)

Problem is I can't pass this screen. ANY IDEAS?

Tried without HD, also took the mobo battery out for a few minutes - it didn't help.

Running on a single memory stick, DVD-ROM, HD (no jumpers!!!!?????? problem?).

Fans are spinning (including CPU fan), no bent legs on CPU....

What is going on here?

PS
Looks like all went to bed? Where are my west cost brothers and sisters?
OK I'll be back tomorrow 8AM EST.

Have you installed the OS yet? I got that message today when building a computer before the OS was installed. Kinda odd.

No OS. This is a new build. Can't get passed that screen - see the post on top of this page.

I am trying to get to BIOS to make sure my DVD drive is checked during start up so the windows can be installed.

TO recap: getting "CMOS Wrong Setting" message. I can't pass that screen and pressing any F key doesn't help! I'm just stuck at that screen and have to restart by using the power button on the PC (alt+ctrl+del is not working - but the keyboard works).

RECAP:

Put the new PC together but having issues. I couldn't get the windows install going. Then I wanted to get into BIOS and couldn't get in.

The next step was resetting the CMOS by taking the battery out and then by moving the jumper (I put the jumper back).

Now I am stuck, can't pass this point - message on the screen:

(on the top lists all my hardware including CPU, RAM, recognized HD and DVD drive then say this)

CMOS Setting Wrong
Press F2 or DEL to run Setup
Press F1 to load default values and continue

Problem is I can't pass this screen. Pressing any F key doesn't help! I'm just stuck at that screen and have to restart by using the power button on the PC (alt+ctrl+del is not working - but the keyboard works).

ANY IDEAS? HELP.

I tried without booting without the HD, also took the mobo battery out for a few minutes - it didn't help.
I only have a single memory stick, DVD-ROM, HD (no jumpers!!!!?????? could that be a problem problem?).

Fans are spinning (including CPU fan), no bent legs on CPU....

Thanks - I am thinking its the bad mobo but not 100% positive ???/

I took the battery out over night and will get the new one today. I'll give it a try tonight.

As a last resort I will unhook and rehook everything - do know what else to do????

Will try F11.....again, thanks.

I tried last night but maybe I didn't "hit it" at the right time.

Did you hold it or press it?
When it starts up, hold it until you can select which boot device you want.
