They're really designed to be put in Dell's and HP's, normal customers don't care or know and just return it if it doesn't work. Intel couldn't care less.

No you've misunderstood me..

Your core sensors on 1st 3rd and 4th core just don't show actual IDLE temperature as they seem stuck and can't go below 45/43/41C but they show correct LOAD temperature..

Your 2nd core's sensor seem to work well at IDLE and LOAD..

My Q9550 also has stuck sensors on 1st 3rd and 4th core and they can't go below 42/40/40C and only 2nd core's sensor seem to work at IDLE..

That's common thing with Intel's 45nm C2D and C2Q CPU's..

Watch out for LOAD core temps and keep them below 75C at all time..

CHEERS..

What they all said above is correct.
Another factor to consider, is your Ambient temperature. Is it getting clean cold air to cool? (If its stuck in a cabinet, and the hot air recycles etc.). I know its winter, but down here in Miami, with the A/C off and windows open, I can still hit 80*+ ambient in the house.
Just a tid bit to remember. Of course if your way up north and your ambient is like 15* then no worries. xD
