Middle monitors colors are messed up.

Thread Starter
First off, I just got these 3 monitors yesterday, and I am loving them, besides the fact that the middle has brighter whites and greyer blacks than the other two. I have tried to adjust the color settings, but didn't get a result a I liked.

All the monitors are the same model, and they are all on the same settings and all are on the same brightness settings.

Is there any easy way to make them all the same?

how are they hooked to the computer? is the middle monitor on VGA or something, have you tried hooked them up different, see if it is the connection, or the monitor.

The left one is hooked up throught an active display port adapter to dvi, the middle to hooked up through my receiver using hdmi and my right one is just dvi.

Yes, buy a calibrator. The best budget one currently is the

. It's the same one that most review sites use to test monitors too.

Well, I hooked the middle one up using dvi rather than hdmi and it looks just like the other two.... But if I use dvi I can't use it with my surround sound....

So it seems if I run pc>hdmi>receiver>hdmi>monitor It makes everything a lot lighter, and I can't really adjust it to make the others. :\\

why don't you use optical from your onboard. You have an optical port on your motherboard.

When I do that, the 5.1 doesn't get played properly, its more 2.1 forced for 5.1 than it is 5.1 going over 5.1.

That shouldn't be. Check your audio settings and make sure that you're using surround sound.

what, that made no sense at all.

You have to setup the optical connection to output the right signal.

I know.
When I have it hooked up through hdmi my receiver has 1 setting and thats for 5.1.
But when I have it hooked up through optical, it gives me all these different options, like pro logic II, cst.ek A, B, and C, etc. But all of them sound like poo compared to hdmi.
