No, power phase and connector don't have anything to do with each other. The board has 4 phases of power to the CPU (not even 4+1 because it is AM2 based and does not have split power), running this with a 125W processor can be especially dangerous due to the higher load of each phase/channel (25% of the entire power load) vs. with more channels, and the fact that your processor at stock is already 125W which means you would be more than pushing the limits with the weak power phase. Heatsinked it can and might perform better, but without heatsinks it just gets worse. A quality 4+1 phase (i.e. with low RDS) from a decent board manufacturer may be fine for overclocking, but this is a very low end board and the power phase isn't even split phase on this. Don't make me post my flame death horror stories - and believe me, I've collected a lot so far on various boards/manufacturers.

This post is made of win! Read n' learn.

yeah i know i shouldnt be doing this on my board and iam gonna replace it soon i hope. but i sux on mobos and dont know which one to get but i think i know a little better now then i did when i bought this board it was just so strange that it was the same things that was affected but now i know why, thx and i think that i have a bit high load temp whit this cooler even at stock (46C somedays) and my room is 20-25C, do this have to do with the mobo or are the temps fine and iam just all wrong to think the cooler can do better. (i have one fan that go on fullpower as pull and the stock as push and under load its at 1800rpm)

now im trying out 3,5ghz clock to see if it works

and i hate myself for being so cheap on the mobo :/

I wouldnt loose too much sleep over it, if you live in the work a day world, theres this thing we call a budget, and that means cost cutting, sometimes that means a little lower performance somewhere in the build... been there, still there... I myself have hit plenty of oc' walls from one bit or another.

I have to agree. I only have my rig because i cut cost in other places etc and changed my priorities and was obviously very patient with the saving. as things go on though you somehow find more money to fun the habit or should i say the disease called CUD(Computer Upgrade Disorder). You will get there too, everyone does

hahaha dont even get me started, when I went to wc, my wife was like... ok heres your budget... a month later... easily 2x that... total cost... hahaha it would of been cheaper to just build bigger on the front end... but my love of self justification really helps in these situations!
