[Google] Chrome 9.0.597.84 stable released - Page 2

They need to release something related to the temp files location, because at the moment we can't change their location!

I can't go back to chrome until they fix that and I can leave my SSD unharmed with so many writes

So I decided to test out that google instant thing, and I can see that causing some problems. I decided to type playboy.com into the bar, but not hit enter, and sure enough it showed me the entire website. When I checked the history it wasn't there. Quasi-incognito browsing?

But I think cookies aren't files altered as we browse, they are files created and deleted, isn't it?

If they are created all the time, I'll have to keep creating syslinks too, so that's a no go

Chrome lacks an option to simply change that temp folder they use. I would preffer that instead of a workaround

I symlink'd the chrome directory, which works better than symlinking the files.

if 9.0 doesn't work
download the 10.0 Beta. it's even faster!

Yea that is what I meant. You'd never symlink individual files, that would be impractical.
