Hey guys

i don't really get why my monitor has 1650x1080

& another 22' has 1920x1080 x.X'

but should i buy a new one that has fullHD 1920x1080?

mine only has DVI connection >.>

will it make a big difference?

a 24 inch 1080P monitor is the same height as a 22 inch 1680x1050. a 22 inch 1080p is smaller.

Also would have a greater pixel density though, but I'd probably still go for at least a 23" if switching to a 16:9 display.

As for the question of switching:

OP, you're fine where you are; going to a higher res is going to ask more of yourc current card in games, and that likely won't be good for you unless your games aren't very demanding.
Also DVI I just fine, it's still full ditigal just like HDMI but sans audio (which also won't matter if you're using speakers / headphones - not the monitor).

Yep 6870 will be fine for 1920x1080 so no worries there.

Wait so you are saying that a 22 inch monitor 1680x1050 is pretty much the same size as a 24" 1080p monitor?

I just got a 24" to upgrade my 22" w/o knowning this if it is even through or I understood it correctly.

24 and 22 inch are the same height. the 24 in is 1 inch wider on each side.

A greater pixel density is good. Go for it, I love my 22" 1080.

A 24 inch 16:9 is still a upgrade from a 22 inch 16:10, because its wider.

Had a 22" 1080p monitor for a week then switched to the 24". Get a 24" if you can. Monitor is still too small to notice the pixels, and the size increase is nice. If you game/watch movies the increase will be nice. Text and all that don't look any different then the 22, just a little larger.
