Odd question, maybe not. Imaging XP

Okay im running windows 7 on my system, i just want to know if there is a way to image or run like windows XP through windows 7. ive heard of a program on mac that lets you run windows programs like in a window the same as anything else. im just curious if you can do it through windows. I would try to look this up myself but i just dont know how to word it. i can help explain more if you ask

I think you're talking about virtual machines. Win 7 pro lets you run XP in a VM, never used it though.

if you have professional or ultimate, then you can download windows xp mode from microsoft. if not, you can use virtualbox, but that would require for you to have a windows xp disk.

could i "get" a disk without actually having it. torrents? something besides actually having it lol. i dont have ultimate.. but on that note next computer i get im spending the extra money on that.

What OSX/*nix does to run windows applications is completely different than what you are thinking about. Running XP in a VM can be done with multiple programs out there, but you still need a valid XP image. =P
