Selling my 360 need help with putting it back to factory settings

Hey guys, I am selling my 360 and I need to know the best way of wiping all of my data off and putting it back to factory settings. Now after a few google searches I did find a place within the GUI to format the drive. Now formatting to me seems to wipe all data including the OS and system settings which I do not want to do. Unless the format feature only wipes data on the drive in which was added after factory. Any help on clearing this up for me would be helpful thanks!

The Format Drive option only clears the HD. The OS updates (NXE) are stored on the xbox it's self and can't be deleted without hacking it. Delete away.
