Basement Gameroom

Alright so, I am in a predicament. I live with my parents and plan on doing so for a few more years. Currently my computer/games are in mostly unfinished basement. My mom's PC room is right above me, so not often do I get to use my speakers. What I was thinking of doing is building a sectioned off room in the basement (~12x16) and make it soundproofed via walls and ceiling. I was just wondering if there is a cheaper way to do all this, and will my PC be able to heat this room? And what about furniture, etc. Like should I have a different TV/space for consoles and then a spot for my PC? Also, please take this seriously.

honestly the best thing to do is just get a nice pair of headphones,

such a hassle to do all that.

Well, a cheap way to do this would be to build a frame, stuff it with a layer of insulation, the anti-sound, then another insulation. Yes your PC should heat that room with all the insulation, and if the room has closed doors. If you have a good PC why bother with consoles? But get a small entertainment stand that tucks neatly into a corner, place a TV there and the consoles under it.

It's not even that really, it's more so of having my own personal space that is fairly large, and looks nice and neat.

@Kat-Because I often have 2 or 3 friends over at the same time, and only 1 computer. Having a console would be more entertaining, and relaxing.

You could finish off a room in there pretty cheaply if you're capable of building and finishing it yourself. Framing a couple walls and throwing in some insulation and some drywall on them doesn't take much, but the electrical is really nothing to screw around with. Though frankly I wouldn't waste my time and money doing that in my parents house since you're not likely to be there for more than a couple more years assuming you're in high school.
