New to overclocking ...looking for info

Thread Starter
hey i just build a new computer... im running

Asus crosshair Iv formula mobo
Amd 1090T 3.2ghz 6core cpu
dual Ati 6950 graphic cards
8 gigs ddr 3 ram

now im been using the turboV evo just to get a feel for over clocking

right now i have changed my Cpu Frequency to 205
and i change the multi from 16x to 18x

now what is the max multi can the 1090t support?
and what is the max cpu frequency Mhz can it suport?

i want to get the cpu up to min of 4.0ghz... and as close as possible to 4.5 ghz

Oh i am running liquid cooling to the cpu and the north and south bridge chips of the motherboard

You have a nice setup there. First start by reading/studying this thread for some very good basic info http://www.overclock.net/amd-general...ing-guide.html
it will also give you a good path to follow.

Even with WC you may find it difficult to reach a 4.5GHz. 4.2 should be somewhat easily obtainable for most. But each chip is different and systems all act differently so you'll be sort of on your own to find YOUR systems limits rather than asking for a specific settings. Mine are listed below in sig rig but they took me a while to get 24 hr stable. The current one listed took 4-5 days and nights of work. The more you learn and time you put in, the better the end result will be. Nothing worse than rushing to get an OC only to find out others have done the same setup with a lot less voltage.

I'm currently working at stabilizing a 4141MHz OC and have just added a WC'd loop (XSPC RS360 kit) to be able to get above 4013MHz with good temps. A day or two and I'll be going for a 4250MHz OC if all goes well. It takes a bit extra after you hit 4.0. The voltage jumps increase at this point lol.

If I can help any more feel free to PM me if you'd like.
