6950 --> unlock --> 6970.

Out of synthetic benchmarks, you will not see a noticable differnce. But you will have DX11 support, Less noise, less power, and no crossfire crappiness.

I would get it!

Thanks a lot again guys, Ordered my first 6870 today, gonna ebay my old processor and cards to get me started on the funds for my second one

Also noted the suggestion for a 6950 I thought about it but I'm not going to a new monitor until my next build and the 6870's will be plenty of power for my gaming needs, so the bit of saved money will go to a ssd to give me a big boost over all

Hey thanks again guys I got it in and tested for a few days now the one is indeed in games I'm playing anyways equal to or better than my crossfire Can't wait to add another now

Not quite. A single 4870 is a little faster than a single 5770. 5770 crossfire scales better than 4870 crossfire, so that part alone is flawed.
