The added VRAM will help for sure, especially when AA is cranked up.
The 580 also has faster VRAM with more bandwidth too unless you OC as in my case (I whip stock 580s with my 480 in MY rig but it's under water and heavily OCed).
As I've said, I can't do SLI on my motherboard, and I am not reading to do a full mobo/cpu/ram upgrade.

If anyone is interested, I did some bench's on the 3GB 580's in which they go stomping all over the competition at high resolutions:

Can you please do some 2560x1600 benches if possible?

(probably asking for a lot since your 30s are in portrait mode)

Oh wait, TRI-SLI. Nevermind.

Also, I am jealous. May I ask you what your occupation is?

Unfortunately those reviews were stupid enough not to include 2500x1600+ resolution tests...Kinda defeating the purpose of having 3gbs of video memory. I say sell the GTX 480 and get the Phantom 3. It is a great price for what it delivers...

I was not referring to CallsignVega review which was excellent. I hope he gets his water-cooling setup for the CPU/3xGPU's soon as it would increase those numbers 10%-25%. Nice setup
