Seems like a good price for what they are.

Western Digital VelociRaptor WD740HLFS
74GB 10000 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Bare Drive
$50 + free shipping.

Only 90 day warranty though.

Aren't the 150gb Velociraptors only $64.99 with free shipping? I bought one Sunday night and it's running great. I personally would opt for double the space for $15 more.

.. but yeah, so far so good. Not as fast as my SSD, but hey, we all knew that ;-)

Personally agree that the 150's are a better deal. Good find!
True they aren't as fast as SSD, but a RAID of 5 (150GB's) would be under $200. A RAID of 5 SSD, easily $600!

Either I'm not understanding, or your math is horrible.

Two of these in raid0 would be great for a dedicated steam drive. That's what im doing, but with slow HDDs.

Just for grins, I tried the 20% off HDD code...they don't qualify

How does the WD FA1002FAEX compare to this raptor?

If this raptor is way faster I may dedicate that to a game drive.
