Gigabyte ud3 memory

Thread Starter
i got a gigabyte ud3 two parts to my question first when it says memory standard does that mean those are the only speeds i can have my memory at if so then can i update BIOS to change that?
That means those are the memory standards that is supports as options to run your ram at.
you can run them higher than what the board states you just have to OC. RAM speed has very little to do with the board its all about the CPU.

well i have i7-930 and whenever i overclock past 3.5ghz/133 mhz or load xmp RAM profile then one RAM module wont be read but NOW WHENEVER i overclock at ALL my ******* windows wont boot im so ******* maddd please help :>
post #5 of 10
you have to increase qpi/vtt you can't even run RAm at 1600mhz without qpi/vtt at 1.2v. you need to use upwards of 1.35-1.6 depending on RAm speed and how good your Internal memory controller is, sadly the 930 has one of the ****tiest memory controllers.

So basicly stability and will that fix the blue screen issue or the RAM module not being read and the blue screen is not an actual blue screen its just like a notice saying windows failed to boot
post #7 of 10
yes you need to increase qpi/vtt voltage, blue screens are because of instability. Too litte qpi/vtt can cause RAM not to show up.

i tried highering the voltages it still didnt work tell me more about the c1e function and the c3/c6/c7 state function and the cpu eist and the cppu clock drive what shoudl they be set at
post #9 of 10
you shoudl disable c1e, eist, and cstates.

You haven't told us anything about your exact setup, we can't really help you at all unless you fill otu all of your BIOS options.

For instance Uncore needs to be 2x the RAm mutliplier.
