as far as I know, its not possible over clocking via the Bios.

Not possible? I cant imagine that...

jammo, have you had any luck with that setup yet? I will be swapping my e4300 for a q6600 soon. For what its worth, Ive had my e4300 running at 3150 rock solid on the p43de. The board has some pretty bad vdrop, so i had to set vcore to 1.500 in the bios, and i usually see 1.48 at idle and 1.44 at load. My core temps are getting pretty high though. They just tickle 70c while running prime. But encoding h264 usually stays in the mid 60's.

That board isn't going to push a quad far at all, especially with 4 sticks of RAM. The best you can do is hope for a small-moderate increase in FSB, just make sure you bump the NB and VTT voltages a little as it may help. Also make sure you're keeping the memory stable, so if you try to run it at a higher frequency loosen the timings, or you can drop the memory multiplier to make it run at a lower frequency.

If he's serious about overclocking, sell that board and pick up a Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P.
