First time builder, looking for advice - Page 2

If I were to save enough money elsewhere, since this build is already stretching the budget I had intended, mostly because I didn't realize how bad my existing graphics card was at first, I would probably drop it back into the rig in order to upgrade to this psu: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...?EdpNo=5554566

It depends on what you do; i.e. video editing, go 8GB. Gaming, stay with 4GB. You should go with 4GB and portion the savings to a better motherboard for a 125W processor, or otherwise downgrade the processor as well to the 95W Athlon II.

Stick with the Neo Eco, it is a great psu and has more than enough juice to power your rig, even with upgrades in the future. Also, I second the Asus mobo. Will let you do your oc without worries of fire. For ram, no need to go 8gigs for a gaming rig. 4 gigs of good 1600 will be great. Just get good timing stuff or sticks that are known to give better timings.
This is the one I would recommend as far as bang for the buck: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820104203
Or just to know that you already have good timings: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231303

Other than that, looks like a great build.
It's so little!

Have you ever ordered anything from Expansys-usa before?

I did a big of googling on that company and the reviews I read were not pretty...

I haven't. I was directed to the site by someone who found the case for me for nearly fifteen dollars cheaper than I was looking at
post #16 of 17
you will experience no performance gains by getting 8 gigs of memory. stick with 4gb. you do not need arctic silver 5, the thermal paste that comes with the hyper 212+ is fine. your setup looks fine to me, it will do you well.
