Another agreement here. I grabbed one a few weeks ago; it's the auto-pilot of dusting a case.

I use a air compressor and i always have the shop vac handy to suck up most of the dust free'd from rad's and what not. I actually just did this with my rig tonight

The bitterant tastes good lol..

I kinda like it actually. I do like tonic water too
post #14 of 31
I would strongly suggest that you NOT use an air compressor (with a holding tank). Water condenses in the tank (often mixed with oil) from the motor, which could very well end up being sprayed all over your equipment. We use three dryers in line with our powder coating to keep contamination out. In the summer, we drain over a gallon of water a day from the main tank.

Better safe that sorry...

How....are any of you getting the air anywhere close enough to your noses to smell the bitterant? The cans come with the little red straw thing for a reason, along with instructions to point the business end AWAY from your face.

Get the DataVac. I've owned one for a little while now. It will get more dust out of your computer and filters than any canned air ever will. It really is that powerful and that big of a difference. You can spray all day with a can, but you'll still see a poof of dust once you get the DataVac on it, even with regular dustings.

It saves you money, saves you time, and it does a better job so everything stays cooler. You really can't go wrong.

FYI, the gas in the cans are not actually compressed "air" or the stuff we breath. They usually use refrigerants such as R-134a or R-152 that as a vapor pressure of around 60psi at room temperature.

I use the MG Chemicals stuff that doesn't have the bitterant. A couple of years ago they were on sale for $4 for a 16oz can and I bought a case of 20, and still have 5 cans left.

They're also fun to spray upside down. You can carefully control the valve so the liquid drips out, and you can collect it in a bottle cap and freeze stuff with it; sorta like liquid nitrogen, except its only -50*C..

There's an ED500 and an ED500P. What's the difference between the two?

The P includes a few more attachments. The ED500 comes with plenty.
