Trying for Hybrid SLI with nForce 980a and GTX 460 - Page 3

That's hybrid power mate, switches off your 9800GT and uses the onboard GPU. Geforce Boost (which actually SLI's your discrete GPU with the onboard one) was only available on the 84-, 85- and 94- series.

Well this article is EXACTLY what my 780a chipset and 9800GT card can do..

http://www.legitreviews.com/article/708/2/

It lists HybridPower and HybridSLI in the same article!

And honestly it doesn't really matter much (at least for me anyways) as I am losing the technology anyways!!

OK I have not read through all the posts yet but I have the m4n98td-evo and have two 460's and using the 980 sli chip-set a physics card and it works. I don't know what I did to get it to work but it does! I get a fps boost of about 5~10 fps in some games like metro2033 and homefront was another one! I only had one game that did not like the set up Grid but just had to go to devise manager and disable the 980 and then it worked fine with not having to reboot or anything! I just rein-able it after that game and it all works very easy like

I have been running my gtx260 hybrid sli in vista for the last 2 years. I just started dual booting with win7...find out that 7 doesnt have sli support. I went back to vista for gaming until i find a way to force 7 to use sli support
