Temperature Question. Problem?

Thread Starter
I'm running a 2500k at 4.6ghz 1.456v according to CPU-Z. In real temp the cores are running at 52, 59, 59, 59 when folding. Is this a issue that one core is running 7degrees cooler? Could my tim cause the problem? I'm using a nh-d14 with the noctuna tim. Is there something else I should look for or is this a normal thing that can happen?

Thanks

The first core is usually lower than the others, no problem.

Awesome. Thanks. Judging from what I've read the temperature I'm running at is pretty decent and hopefully the voltage won't become an issue. I'm running out of things to mess with now lol.

you should be able to get 4.6 with much less voltage. nice overclock though.

i have two cores which run 5c coomer than the others so its normal

Agreed, I have my 2500k at 4.8gig with less Vcore than that.

My first core runs about 8 to 9 degrees cooler than the other cores, so your 2500k is normal. I agree with the other posters regarding your voltage; it seems like way too much for 4.6. I've yet to encounter any overclocker who needed more than 1.4 volts for a 4.6 overclock. The average required voltage for that overclock is probably somewhere between 1.30 and 1.35.
