Stock i3 540 Temps

Thread Starter
Hi there I just built a HTPC with an i3 540 and its installed in an Apex MI-008 case and it is very tight and not much airflow and wanted to to know if my temps are safe. My temps at idle are around 38-40 and I tested full load with prime95 and in about 30 mins hit max 70. Is this safe or what should I do. Thanks

35-40C idle is normal for an i3.
And 70C at max load in 30 mins is pretty neat.
What is the average temperature?

But those temperatures sound really normal.

your temps are fine. they could be a bit better, but they arent high enough to hurt anything.
