lolwut? The Battlefield games are generally regarded as metric craptons better than any of the CoD games. Regardless of how good BF3 is, it still probably won't do much of a dent into CoD, because of the audience that plays those games; it has a very large audience, and one that consists of every kind of person, whether it be your usual nerd, preppy kids, etc.
And how was Bad Company the wrong direction? The first game was lackluster, but the second is one of the best multiplayer experiences available. I'm glad to have something this great to hold me over during BF3 development.
