I do agree in wishing that their focus would've been on BF3; however, the games they've made since BF2 are 2142 and the two BC games (I'm not counting the various collaborative works like MoH, NFS, etc.). Until BC2, there weren't large leaps in PC game technology, and the BF3 made then wouldn't have been as impressive. It's opinion-based, so I digress.

I shuddered reading that; I hope you are still hung on the numbers. There are quite a few better pop artist than Bieber; he doesn't sell because he's "good." You're also missing the point; even if we looked at their genres in particular, Hannah Montana sells extremely well in country, and Bieber sells extremely well in pop. Neither are especially good; they simply appeal to millions of kids. This goes hand-in-hand with my argument.

I hardly call selling one console-exclusive "selling out." It was an experiment, they saw that it didn't work so well, and developed mainly for the PC again. Besides BF1943, BC1 is the only console-exclusive they've released; it's difficult to blame them for also developing for said consoles.

False. I'll make another analogy for you: Bose and Monster (most of 'em, like Beats) products have nowhere near the performance that they advertise. They sell because of smart marketing. They make ridiculous profits off of each overpriced product sold. There are plenty of games/products that don't get the attention they deserve; you can't possibly label them as low-quality (or what have you) because they don't sell as well as a more popular product.

I'll admit it was harsh to say that I don't care about numbers, but do you see the point I'm trying to make? Then again, if you're arguing that the latest CoD games are truly well made, you may not.
I think the crux of this discussion is the whole bieber/bose analogy. For the 8-18 year old girl market (the actual market that still buys albums in stores), bieber has good numbers. Maybe not top charts numbers. But if you want to talk about the 14-25 year old male market for pop sales, then that is another story.

This analogy is thrown out the window because cod and battlefield caters to the same market and genre... 18-24 year old males. Numbers matter within the same market. You can talk about the hidden gem game that nobody buys, but if it for another market/genre, that has no bearing in this discussion. If you have a fps multiplayer game that gets no love, then bring it up....

what pop musician is the best for a 10 year old girl? bieber.

OT: I CANNOT WAIT for this........
I'm interested in seeing how often you would manage to trace a jet if they implemented it.

Me too. The darts were patched to fly, what was it, 200/300 m/s. A jet flying at near sonic speeds will take some epic guessing and luck to trace! I've got plenty difficulty tracing choppers...

If I can sometimes take down jets with the BF2 rocket launcher, I can probably manage to get them with tracers on bombing runs.

I'm seeing quite a few people wait it out for the Steam release. I definitely like Steam quite a bit, but what's making everyone wait? Simply the fact that it's digital? This is a game I definitely want a hard copy of.

Added modding tools to "out" due to GI magazine article. They say they don't have the time nor is it worth the expenditure to create the tools, but they are looking at ways they can deliver them (I.E. having modders build them!)

Well I hate to manually install my countless games, so its much more easy to have it on steam and just push download!
Also its really nice to have the opportunity to use it where ever I want, without a DVD to install!
