Wow a lot better then I thought. Looks like I might have to eat my own poo after all.

Two things though, COD auto-track knife has to go. Bring back the old knife that you actually have to equip or better yet the BF:V knife, with actual thrusting/stabbing/slashing animations when whichever one is appropriate. Knife shouldn't be a one shot unless you sneak up on a guy or something.

I hope BF3 for console is just a naming scheme and it ends up like BF:Modern Combat, which was a console branch off from BF2 which was dumb down and didn't even have the same devs working on it.

I'm still waiting for Commanders to be confirmed.

I only have one question, what does No Modding Tools Mean?

No More cheaters? (I SURE HOPE SO!)

Dunno about the knife and grenades, but BF3 consoles will be the same game as BF3 PC (Dice said they were developing ONE game). The only difference should be the map size (24 players only).

Unfortunately after reading the magazine scans (dunno if they're still up) it pretty much sounds like the commander was scrapped and that they're distributing his abilities to squad leaders and/or all players (sounds like the BC2 UAV is back).

There are always cheaters. It means we won't see custom maps and mods like Project Reality.

Now why on earth would they scrap commander? B/c they know console kiddies won't ever occupy that position or just do rambo commander?

They better come out with mod tools, I want BF3 Project Reality.

They better? Lol come on. You sound like a child. As much as I like mods, I never even played them while playing BF2 years ago.

Out of the hundred or so hours I spent on BF2, none of those were spent in a custom map, nor did I know they even existed. Mod tools are a must in RPGs like Skyrim and Dragon Age, but FPS I can honestly care less.

...
Look at the source engine games, TF2, CS, DOD, They were good to great games but because they were so easy to mod it made the games amazing. Like sure some mods are complete trash, but no one can deny the success of custom maps, surf mod, zombie mod, etc etc. Modding just adds so much more potential to a game.
