Best AM3 Motherboard for 1090T? (..& Power Phase Qu)

Hi guys, I have an MSI 790FX GD70. It has 4+1 power phases. I've had no issues with the board or chip and run it 24/7 at 4Ghz. I've read about the power phases posing a potential problem. My questions is, what's the best motherboard for the 1090T? ...and do I need to upgrade mine?
Thanks

MSI's use of 4+1 power phase is weak and some people get problems,i'd say the best motherbord for your 1090t is a Asus Crosshair IV,or the Asus 890GTD PRO USB3,as this is efectively a Crosshair IV, albiet without the fancy design and features. If you are planning to upgrade your motherboard i'd seriously wait though,AM3+ will be out by april and will take your 1090t,and then you can upgrade to Bulldozer when you have the cash.No point pouring money into a platform thats moving out.

+1 to that.

But if you wanna buy something a little cheaper. I suggest buying the UD5. This guy's pretty good too and has room for CFX + 1 PhysX

Pass 1.5V on that 790FX-GD70 and you're dead. That's what usually kills it. There's usually no sparks or light show either, the mosfets just simply fail, but it does happen often. Your VRMs may degrade over time as well, so keep that in mind.

Thanks for the replies and suggestions. Looks like I'll wait a few months until Bulldozer hits and get the AM3+ board.

Will I be ok in the meantime?... I never have the chip over 1.5V and my case cooling is quite good. Voltage I'm using is 1.456V. Hoping this will see me through till Bulldozer release.

Hi guys, been experimenting with my board this past week (still thinking of a bulldozer board in the future...but wanted to try this in meantime). I've thrown stress test after stress test at it and it has came out fine and stable. Am I good to assume my board will be ok with my 1090T?

Damn that NB is hot. If you've passed necessary stress tests then you should be fine
