Two Worlds II

Has anyone picked this game up? I just bought it from Steam yesterday and I have to say that it's quite fun.

Here's a tip for better crossfire performance:

Rename the game executable to fear.exe and run the game from that. In case you don't know why this works, you're basically tricking the video drivers into thinking that you're running the game fear so it uses that crossfire profile. That literally doubled my FPS.

I saw this today on Steam and was thinking it looked (as in had the feel of) Oblivion but with better graphics. It got 77/100 Metascore though which made me slightly question it.

Could you or anyone else who's played the game give any inkling on how the game is. What is it comparable to? What are some cool features about it? Is it atmospheric with a deep storyline?

Unfortunately I was only able to play about 45 minutes so far. Here are my first impressions:

-Graphics look really good if you like heavy bloom effects and Depth of Field. Textures are detailed too.

-Gameplay: The controls are a bit weird but nothing you can't get used to. Swinging weapons has an odd feeling to it that I can't quite explain.

-Story: I never played the first one and I believe this has some sort of relation to it. POSSIBLE SPOILER: You are rescued from a prison by the Orcs and the main goal of the story is to take down the evil Gandohar.

That's a quick summary and most of what I played was the tutorial.

I bought it. I'm probably one of the few that actually enjoyed the first game, for FWIW. Trying to finish Dragon Age before I start into it.

Wow thanks alot for the crossfire tip. I had played just a few min and really thought my CF cards should make it run faster than it had. Will try your method.

Divinity 2 the Dragon Knight Saga was awesome. I don;t know about the original release, but the re-release was bugless had great gfx and gameplay and had a sick item system. I loved it so much!

I am looking into TWII as well, but don't know what to do... maybe wait for the summer sale?

So I've played about 6 hours of this game since my last post, and it is amazing in my opinion. The quests keep me interested and the graphics are incredible.

I did find that the game will crash randomly if using eyefinity, which is a bummer.
