contrary to popular belief having a plane explode in front of you, especially 4th or 5th generation planes means death. Your flying through a cloud of shrapnel that weighs far more then the average weight of a missile and getting 2 foot solid chunks of titanium sucked into your engine basically means your entire engine explodes since the turbines crack and the centrifugal forces send the shattered pieces of the turbine spewing out of the engine like a massive shotgun shell, that will destroy hydraulics which means you lose control. And then you eject and hope you won't die when the bad guys on the ground see your parachute.
pretty sure no aircraft is solid titanium, and certainly not chunks. Skin perhaps, maybe the bathtub in the lower half of the cockpit of the A-10

crack/shatter, if FOD is sucked in
the engine could
explode out like a massive pineapple grenade...but would probably just shoot everything out the back end, catch fire and shut down
Hydraulic damage is possible, though especially with a 4th or 5th gen aircraft most are fly by wire meaning the days of hydraulic lines running through every open space in the airframe are over...
