ASRock M3A770DE - a DIMM slot showing RAM as 200MHz in Memtest86+

I've been testing my RAM because of BSOD issues. All four sticks have individually went through 5+ passes with no errors using Memtest86+. I even let the last DIMM slot that oddly shows the memory as only 200MHz. The other slots I've tested show it as the correct 666MHz(really 667) speed. This is with any stick, too, not just one.

Is this normal??

From the pictures on Newegg, I'm talking about the white slot on the far end. The configurations for dual-channel use the same colors(Two blues=dual; two whites=dual).

I'm testing again at the moment....

I have the memory manually set to the rated settings: 667MHz(1333), 9-9-9-24, 1.5V. I will run another test when the BIOS settings are at Auto.

My BIOS is up-to-date.

I will also test the second slot of the first dual-channel(Blues) to see if it's just wonky like that.Yep, so the second slots of each dual-channel things both show as 200MHz.

Finally, I will run CPU-Z or whatever to see if I'm actually getting the full speed while using only that DIMM slot.

I've been having BSOD's since I upped to 8GB of RAM from 4GB. All sticks pass, same Brand, same speeds. I don't know if Windows 7 x64 has a problem with 8GB or what, lol. After I'm done testing I'm reinstalling fresh to see if that helps, however I'm not looking for help regarding the BSOD's. I want to know what's up with these DIMM slots!

Thank you

The last DIMM slot must be acting funny. It would be running at 200Mhz [400 DDR], instead of 667 [1333 DDR]. Try not to use it I guess. Also, are you using a C2 revision processor? (i.e. what exact processor model)

Memtest86+ reports the speed for a single stick to be 200MHz (400 DDR) only in the second and fourth slots on my motherboard. It's totally weird. I Google'd to see what I could find, and there are related issues with different motherboards, CPU, and RAM from what I have. Sadly I was unable to find an answer to why the two slots are screwy.

Processor is a X4 640. I think they are only made as C3, at least from what I read at Wikipedia lol I could be wrong. I don't really want to take off the heatsink if possible because it was a pain to get on!
