New Power Supply needed

Thread Starter
I have an 6950 coming in and possibly thinking about CF'ing them in the future when Bulldozer is released.

I am in the market for a reliable PSU that will last me for quite a while. Something that would be plenty to power CF'ing and anything else that I could be throwing at it.

Recommendations? Was looking at XFX or Corsair at the moment.

Corsair units made by Seasonic are very good. Jonnyguru has reviews that go beyond brand.

What is your budget??

I've used a Antec TP New 750 and a Coolmax CUQ-1200B to power my gaming rigs. They both have an SLI one of GTX260's and the other GTX480's

Corsair has some proven psu's and you can't go wrong with them. Take your pick of wattage and/or modular. Don't know about XFX

i dont think budget is an issue here as all the psu's he would buy will be close in price..

That is the one I have been looking at. Would 750 Watt be plenty for CF and anything else pretty much?

No budget at the moment but I would like to keep it reasonable if that makes sense.

i think the 750 would be perfect for you but if you want you can go for the 850 for 20 more although i dont see the need.

From what I've been told by experts here... a good quality 750w psu is enough for crossfire 6950's, however the XFX 850w PSU it's cheaper than the 750W version After Rebate and if the 20 dollar off coupon is still valid.
