Don't see why this is a huge success or why it required a press release.
Title: Verizon breaks first day sales record with iPhone 4 pre-orders
You: "All Verizon did was beat their previous personal record for most number of phones sold upon release."
You again: "Title is incredibly misleading."
Article's First line: It took Verizon only two hours of having the iPhone 4 available for pre-order to break its
all-time record for first day sales of a single device.
Why not read the article instead of commenting on just the title of a thread?
Fact is Verizon sold more iphone 4's in 120 minutes during the wee hours of the night to a limited subscriber base than any of their other phones in a single, whole day. That's impressive anyway you slice it and certainly worthy of a headline. Heck, it was Verizon's CEO that made the announcement. I guess you know better than him. God knows you'd be praising HTC or whoever if they had a phone sell that fast.
