@OP i think you have lived under a rock for the past 5 days dude ..any way let me get you up to speed..,thanks to the "bug" the P67 platform will house Ivy Bridge (which is push to 1Q 2012) so all the current owners of P67 platform will get free MB replacement in about two months Ivy Bridge ready, now you can crawl back where you came from

Just so you know, I am attending school and have not been looking at the forms very much or getting any new computer informations.Anyways back to topic, I just think that it is so sad that Intel screwed all the users who bought product with endless hype about being a perfect CPU. Thank goodness, I didn't buy into the hype at all. Anyways, I feel bad for you all Sandybridge owners who got screw by intel.

How'd they screw us over? The issue is long term and in 2-3 months we'll have a replacement for free lol. I find it funny that only the LGA 1366 owners are making any hype about this so far.. Most of the Sandybridge owners are just smug and careless about it simply because we have reassurance. We get a free board, and in some cases a free SATA 2 Card along with 4.8GHz+ overclocks on air. Lets see your Core i7 950 outperform my 2600K if its sooooo much better.

Doubt you will see cheap SB systems on fleabay let alone a K series CPU for cheap. Knowing Intel they keep the high prices on processors and components to retain its value. Old socket 775 processors still cost as much as Sandy Bridge along with 1366 and 1156 processors.

But it's typical, some of the AMD fan boi's, 1366'ers, 1156'ers, and old socket 775'ers are just haters because they were planning to upgrade to Sandy Bridge until Intel pulled all boards from all retailers.

But Sandy Bridge is what it is, powerful, power efficient, and highly overclockable at a great price. No matter what people will cry about and try to bash on Sandy Bridge it's not going to change anything about the processor.

Thank god I didn't get a sandybridge and I kept my i7-950 instead.
Why would you make that move anyway?

Why are you posting this days after the fact?

Why............. nevermind.

I am very very happy with my SB. Still have not even OC......yet. Just love it.

intel has enough cash and support to take care of its customers by replacing the defective mobos. there is also a very slim chance of something happening bad (was it a 5% chance within 3 years?).
I would by SB again.
Btw, I UPGRADED from a 775 platform. What a difference. It was well worth the wait and skip the 1156 or 1366.
