For its size it's flexible.

I'm sure you saw that in that video.

Let me tell you I think the HAF 912 is very solid and not flimsy at all.

One just has to purchase whatever fans to this.

And if one wants the additional tool-less the CM Store sells them. I already did that with mine.

BTW: How do you like that hard drive cage?

Too bad the other HAF's and in fact any other CM case doesn't have that hard drive cage system as yet as the Storm Enforcer case will come out in Q1 that is essentially the same chassis (I think with black interior) and have a clear side panel with a different face that has an optical drive door just FYI.

Thanks for the info (TFI?). For a few minutes, I really wanted the Thermaltake Element G, but then I saw the price. Considering I got my 932 for $99 CAD, I don't see why I would spend $130 for the Element G. Its a really nice case tho... just the price is a bit out of my rage ATM.

You're welcome.

In the past I've seen the HAF 912 case on sale at NewEgg for $49.99 with free shipping. I would shop around for the best price. The msrp for this case is $59.99 USD.

Hope to see you back in this forum (maybe the HAF club) with a photo of your new HAF 912 case.

Happy shopping around!

Thanks again. I just signed myself up for my HAF 932 on the owners club. I'll probably do the same when/if? I get the 912. Here is link to the photos of my 932 in case anyone is interested.

The Hyper 212+ will fit just fine on that board. Unless you have oversized high performance ram with tall heatsinks you won't have any clearance problems. At the very worst the fan might hang over the closest ram slot, but a slight shift of the fan up on the heatsink would allow it to clear and wouldn't hinder your cooling by more than 1 or 2C, if that much.

Some of the best points of the 212+ is is comes with an excellent fan and the TIM that ships with it is top shelf so you do NOT need to get anything else for it. It's by far the best bang for your buck cpu heatsink/fan combo for anything up to a highly overclocked i7. I have one on my Q6600 OC'd to 3.4GHz running the Folding @ Home SMP client which loads the cpu to 100% 24/7/365 and it's running at 55-58C doing it.

The video that I posted shows a CM V6 cooler which easily fits in that case though it's not a Hyper 212+.

He didn't say anything about it fitting in the case, only on the mobo. But that wouldn't be a problem either with any of the cases mentioned so far, or any other mid tower case.

Thanks guys for all your help. I'll see how the whole process goes when I upgrade. Just not sure when that'll be. Hopefully by 2 weeks time I should have the parts in. Then again, that could also be by the end of this month. All depends...

I'll be sure to update this thread with photos and whatnot; especially the removal of the back i/o shield plate.
