A slight bit of tape fixes the lift off.

I could have sworn that I posted in a thread like this last night. Anyway last week I actually bought a Xai which was on sale 12% off + free Qck cloth mouse pad.

Well since then I have gotten a chance to take it to a lan, play a lot of SC2 and a lot of Bad Company 2 online with it. Personally I love the shape, it feels really comfortable. I absolutely love the material this mouse is made from, feels like soft plastic but it doesn't attract finger prints. Defiantly feels well built, like I could throw it at my monitor and it would destroy it. As far as the sensor goes I really don't notice any issues with negative or positive acceleration.

I am continually going into the settings and increasing the CPI in small increments to find the perfect sensitivity and the ability to do that should be enough for someone to compensate for any problems you might have, not to mention the shape of the mouse is perfect once your hand gets used to it.

So ya I would say get the Xai because personally it is the best mouse I have ever used, I don't plan on throwing it at my monitor any time soon though.

This. I am replacing my deathadder for this exact reason, I play CSS very low sens and need to be able to lift off.

Nothing a piece of tape can't fix.

Just be aware that Xai's MCU interpolates all CPI settings in steps other than 90.

450/900/1800 are fairly common CPI values. Of course, you can go 90 counts higher or lower if you so do desire.

(Ex: 450, 540, 630... 1800, 1890, 1980 and so on)

How low are we talking? CM or Inches/360?

why don't you go for Mionix Naos 5000 ?

same shape as Ikari and same sensor as Xai

and then buy a Hard Pad

TBH after tried both (ikari, naos and currectly using the Xai)
I found the Naos 5000 less comfort than Ikari, and "more" massive, and the pinky-place is little short. - but overall is have great ergonomic design. - really reminds the Ikari.
If Steelseries would thinking about other thing besides being sponsership and make mokey, We'll get IkariV2.

Xai is great, but that 90CPI stepping is very true from my experience and I'm not 100% happy with how it tracked on cloth... occasionally dead spots where it would stick on an axis.

Ikari is good but there are better choices...

I cannot stand the DA. horrible to grip for me personally

best mouse ive used in years personally is the zowie ec2. I don't like hard surfaces and optical just seems to be so much smoother and consistent on cloth. plus it doesnt do as well at lift off as is advertised, but the lift off is right up there with the best of them.

im personally re-adjusting my 1.6 game for a higher sens after this past 6 month break so it doesnt really come into play as much for me.

yeah, ikari seems to be the best in ergonomics

but, for me, naos 5000 is a very balanced choice, ergonomics extremely alike (a little bit worst) and better sensor (using hard surfaces)

but, as you said Ikari V2 would be awesome

How will the Ikari Laser fair on my cloth Qck+ pad? I'm pretty sure this is what I'm going for, I am so tired of have to push my pinky against the side of my deathadder since I have a palm grip.

why do a bit of tape on the DA? Fixes the whole lift off issue.
