560 Ti - Artifacting - help!

Thread Starter
Hey, so my card is artificating. It's showing red dots not very many in some parts of the screen. I've already tried a different card, and underclocking it but nothing works. I have a fresh install of Win 7 64 bit and my computer is almost brand new.

What other component might cause artifacting?

I do not believe there is any ohter component that will cause artifacting, just the card itself. What are your temps like on the card?. If it is still artifacting downclocked, then it is most likely defective and should be RMA'ed

Well I had the same problem wit my 9800 Gx2 but that was in the 80+ temps. I restarted my comp and it stopped artificating. Overclocked it a good deal to 975 and 2250 on the memory and no artifacting. It's the MSI version so it runs really cool never over 60. Should I be worried or just leave it?

If it's artifacting below stock clocks, then it's toast, send it back. It's just way too new a card to even consider any other fixes.

It's artifacting again. It's the same deal with another card I tried so I don't think it's that. I'm using a Corsair GS800w PSU.

I've never seen or heard of another component causing artifacts. Are you sure your DVI/VGA cable is intact? Other than that, I could only say you've had bad luck and both of the cards are broken.

Now it's just coming and going, it seems that it'll artifiact in some programs but not others.

Are they appearing when you put load on the GPU? (3D-Mode games, etc)
