E4500 @ 3.2Ghz, Lowering Vcore...

Hello everyone,

Yesterday I managed to get my E4500 to 3.2Ghz. But if I stress test with IntelburntestV2.5 my temps getting to 70c MAX, running my CPU fan at 2400RPM. Now it's says that it is stable but I want to lower my vcore. Only the problem is that I can't decrease it lower then 1,35V in the bios, system gets unstable. Now my question is: is it possible to decrease the Vcore by changing other settings?

System info:

CPU: E4500
Stressed: 3200Mhz ~ Multi: x10 ~ Vcore: 1,336v
Normal: 1920Mhz ~ Multi: x6 ~ Vcore: 1,328v

RAM: 1067Mhz ~ 5-5-5-15 (stock)

MOBO: Asus P5Q PRO

I doubt you can lower it anymore. If your chips VID is high, you definitely aren't going to lower it more and other voltage changes can sometimes allow you to drop the CPU voltage a bit, but not much. I'd suggest just buying a new air cooler. Dual core CPUs are very easy to cool, and all it takes is a rather cheap tower cooler like a Cooler Master Hyper 212+ to keep an E4500 in the 50C range with even higher big overclocks.

:edit: fixed grammar error
