Ek dcp 4.0 reservour combo

Thread Starter
Need advice
I just noticed recently that I started to get small amounts of water
escaping above the small yellow piece of tape I attached all the way around
(see picture attached) When I put my finger over it I notice quite a bit of
moisture

http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1431/img0174u.jpg

Here is another picture.I circled with red where the water is coming out from

http://img248.imageshack.us/i/ekreservoir.png/

Anything I can do to prevent this happening/solutions or do I need to
replace it with a new reservour
Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

can you remove the glass/plexi from the bottom black plastic in a way that after some modifications you can put it back together? (in short can you unscrew/something similar the transparent bit away from the bottom?)

if you can then remove the bottom black plastic from the glass/transparent plastic, then put some yarn and some grease(usually its good if its not too thick or to liquidy ... think something like toothpaste but not toothpaste, it needs to be a grease) and then roll some yarn around the black plastic in the place where its connected to the transparent plastic, then put some grease on the yarn and then reattach the top transparent plastic to the bottom black plastic. dont use too much yarn, so it doesnt all push out when you reasseble

if you can dismantle the res then i am affraid i don know how to help

If you already tighten it as far as it would go replace it .

if the leak is from where it threads on
you can put some silicon on the threads, then thread it on and let it dry for 48hrs

you can try teflon tape as well or a small rubber washed that fits over the threaded shaft
home depot and lowes both have rubber washers
