Thread will be closed March 13th, and the Folding Focus Group will prepare a shortlist for public voting.

Last chance to get your avatars in.

Afternoon folks. I feel early-Feb is a perfect time to remind you all of the CC, which will probably be starting 3 months from today.

Hopefully many of you will remember our push to get more Folders last year, when we were all sporting the same avatar. This avatar, to be precise:

Well, we felt that was a bit unfair to people who'd spend time and effort making there own avatars, so we're gonna do things a bit differently this time.

We'd like for you to post up your own creations, your own thoughts on what a CC avatar should really be.

Towards the middle of March, the thread will be closed, and the Folding Focus Group will create a shortlist of the entries. This shortlist will then be posted as a poll, where everyone can choose their favourites. The top 5/6 (might change, depending on how many entries we get) will then all be taken as the official avatar for this year's event.

We have a few restrictions:
• Must include a monkey of some sort.
• Must include the OCN flame.
• Must include the name (OCNChimpin)

EDIT: Some very handy info from Lutro0:

It will resize your avatar to 120x120 pixels, So if one side is bigger than the other it will shrink it to fit within those proportions. It is best if you do the resizing yourself and make your avatar within 120x120 in the first place to keep the sharpness and quality of your work. Just something to keep in mind.

Here are two templates to make things easier. One with a border and one without. =)

There's a.jpg there. See how beautifully it blends in?

Also here is the post with the OCN Logos.

And a great site for fonts to use.

Now lets get some more avatars!.
Aside from that, feel free to let your artistic side take over, and show us what you've got. If it's good enough, there'll be dozens of people sporting them come April/May.

Not trying to be annoying but Chimps are Great Apes... not monkeys. It is the Chimp Challenge is it not? A monkey would not fit in in my opinion. Just saying...

But on topic. We need a Chimp "Going Ape" on someone for the pic. lol

Sure, but I think a monkey of any sort will get the point across.

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 120 by 120 pixels or 40.0 KB (whichever is smaller).

But, as omega said, it'll be resized regardless of dimensions.

You look ugly when you resize.
