Another option: You can buy an ASUS board on eBay and RMA direct to ASUS due to their no receipt required policy.

I would buy an asus due to my experience with their customer service. I called both manufacturers asking about their rma policy and the asus rep was very nice and ensured me that you would be able to rma with them just based on board serial number or something. no need receipt. The gigabyte rep didn't sound very nice and seemed very unprofessional. He said "Why would you buy off ebay when you have to return it to the store." I'm just thinking like, uhh that is why I'm calling you to find out.. So I assumed that GB wouldn't RMA directly to them.. Maybe they will change the policy later when the boards come out

I am sure you can just RMA to Gigabyte, as always you can RMA. This isn't some special circumstance, RMA is always an option with a board if something goes wrong.

Also gigabyte low level tech are idiots, on told someone that they wouldn't support p67 boards anymore, i showed my friend that works for GB and he said no way of course we are going to release BIOSes and even posted in the thread and corrected the guy.
I figured that both Asus and Gigabyte would allow RMA's directly to them. My original worry was with asus and buying a board on ebay. Gigabyte really should have spent a little more time on their wording here. It makes it sound like you have to take it back to where you bought it or you don't get a replacement. If we can send it directly to gigabyte then that's all I was worried about.

all current gigabytes p67 boards are with crappy b2 stepping chipset are gone. untill april of this year they have hold all shipment of boards and they have removed all from shops, you will not get one now for sure. same thing for asus. however boards must failing to exchange it. so my guess is to not buy them at all lol. buy some crappy stuff for lowest price as possible or change the platform (lol)

I feel for ya.....

I had to order like everything from different places.... I did pull one off amazon through a third party seller. Kept bugging them too cause i was afraid i would wait 3 days and they would cancel or something.

Provantage.com had over 100 now seems they are gone that was my backup plan. Ebay would be a real last resort.

I thought my motherboard would take longer so i waited on ordering other stuff won't be here till Monday Tuesday gotta love the waiting game.

Sadly had to order the ud4, was gonna get the ud7 but couldn't find it... only later to find out provantage had them. Bought 2 esata to sata so i can use the marvel ports on the back lol....

you can probably look for one at your local craigslist. Since you can deal with the person locally, you can probably get help from the person you bought it from.
