I discovered yesterday via an online article that legendary Upstate New York based, McIntosh Audio Labs recently released an app that is sort of an overlay for the iPod interface allowing you to enjoy the lighted McIntosh logo and famous voltage meter fascia in all of its blue LED glory.

No! It will not make your music sound like it's coming from a $12,000 pair of McIntosh mono-blocks, but it does make my iPhone look like a genuine portable high-end music rig.

Oh and it's free! Search for: McIntosh AP1 Audio Player
