The 2711 his a higher pixel density which would result in a better image. But at that res it's not really noticeable. Basically boils down to what res you want heh.

The pixel density should be about the same

U2711 is 2560x1440 and U3011 is 2560x1600

You would basically have a U2711 if you cut 160 pixels from the top of the U3011 off. lol

Actually, it is more like you take the u3011 as a 16:10 panel, then shrink it down 3 inches all around to a 27" 19:10 panel AND THEN you cut 160 pixels worth from top and bottom. That's around 2 inches as well.

So at the end of the day it would feel like you really have a 25" panel that is just really wide. (if you compare it to a 19:10 27" panel)

I hate 16:9.

I hate 16:9.

That's gotta be the most ridiculous comment I have heard.

The U2711 is basically physically just as wide as the U3011 and not as tall.

What's with the 16:9 hate? There's no need to hate aspect ratios. The differences between the 2 are minimal.

I'd say it's worth it to go u3011

Wrong. I have a 23 inch 16:9 panel and a 24" 16:10 panel sitting side by side. Using a ruler, the 23 inch panel is less wide, about half of an inch. So you're smoking that good stuff when you say a 27" inch panel is as wide as a 30" panel lachen.gif. Secondly, the verticals have a 2 inch difference between each other. Care for pictures? I can happily prove you wrong with those biggrin.gif

The AW2310 I have sitting next to my BenQ G2400WD feels like it's a 21-22 inch panel instead of a 23

Is there a separate coupon for the U3011? The coupon posted only applies to the U2711 for me.
