Best ~27'' Monitor

Thread Starter
I'm looking to buy the best 1920x1200+ and ~27'' monitor. I do game so a low response time would be nice and I do design work as well so having a nice contrast ratio would help. Anyone know the top ones? Looking to get 2 of them eventually.

Staying under $300 or so would be ideal, but if the monitor is worth it, I'll dish out some extra cash.

But why go for such a large screen when all you want to use is 1920x1200? It's going to look like total crap no matter how much AA your GPU can pump out.

honestly at 27" you are going to have to get an IPS for 2560X1600, or at least an LCD that supports that resolution (I think, though, that IPS screens are the only ones who support that resolution). Resolution>Size. 27" at 1080P makes all games look like crap console ports.
