Zalman VF3000F for GTX 570

After contacting them ,I received an email from Zalman ,stating that the VF3000F Cooler for the GTX 570 should be available by April at latest. I had such great results with the GTX470 unit ,I will definitely get one . Biggest cons are Size (Holy Crap !!!!!) and raises the hell of Ambient temp (solved w/80mm exhaust fan under card on back of case) .I know of at least one member here who took the GTX 480 unit and Modded the Heatsink to fit his with a Dremmell ,but I don't have really steady hands so I think I will wait for the exact fit.

I was also wondering if in the meantime there is any way to over ride the fan speed control on my Gigabyte card.Only being able to stay within 43- 83% speed range. I know EVGA has one ,just wondering if it would work on mine.Would probably have to flash to EVGA Bios?

I don't know much about bios flashing hopefully someone else can answer for you.

You should edit your Bios via Fermi Bios Editor - you can unlock there the 30-100% range of fan :-) (or change voltage, also for 2D mode)

+1 for this.

There is a nice guide here on using the FBE or NiBoTor.

I used Nibitor..... to Increase my fan range to 100%, and lower my 2d Voltage to .888v.

I also did this with my previous 570
