So do you think Apple saw the writing on the wall when they opened their iPhone market to Verizon. Hmmmm.

Kind of like the rip off the hard drive manufacturers have - where they use "decimal", rather than actual drive sizes, to bloat what they can advertize.

I think AT&T has a lot of explaining to do, and if they were overcharging, the board of directors who authorized it should go to jail for fraud, just like con artists like Madoff...

I wouldn't be surprised if it's true. It's not like their DSL customers get it any better...I'm sitting here paying for extreme and getting lite, and their service department just feeds ass-covering statements back. Bah. I hope they lose.

Possible. Or maybe they knew that some of us wanted an iPhone but hated ATT so much we went android instead.

I recently called Orange UK because of inconsistancies on my data charges. I'd use 1300MB and be charged £7, then use 1000MB and be charged £12. Often at times the amount of data on my bill wasn't the same as the monitoring app on my phone. Local data > their data.

In the end they gave me an unlimited data plan.

I caught ATT overcharging me, red handed on 2 separate occasions last year (actually my wife did) ,and by the time we noticed ,they had over-billed us for over $300 between April -Sept ,and after admitting their guilt ,they did refund us the money. I am sure they were hoping we did not notice. They also over charged me on my U-verse account .Those things do not happen by accident.I am done signing 2 year Prison contracts with the crook wireless carriers just to get a $500 phone for $50 . Better to just pay for the phone and be free.

how much data are you using anyways?
unless you're using 500mb+ this isn't a big deal

It IS a big deal. If you let these companies get away with this s**t now, what will stop them from doing worse in the future?
